Partner Action: Block Budget Increase for ICE and Mass Deportation
Trump’s “border czar,” Tom Homan, is pushing for billions more for ICE deportations, with House and Senate Republicans backing a budget reconciliation bill that could allocate between $90 and $175 billion for this purpose. This funding could lead to:
Expanding the Alien Enemies Act, allowing ICE to unlawfully send immigrants abroad without due process.
Building a large immigration jail at Guantanamo Bay.
Increasing ICE personnel and enlisting local law enforcement to arrest more immigrants.
Allocating billions to private contractors for targeting, detaining, and deporting immigrants.
Under Trump, ICE has already unlawfully deported migrants to El Salvador without due process. We must act now!
