ICA Action: Call Senators & Reps to Thank or Voice Concerns on CR Vote
Despite Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announcing that Senate Democrats were united in fighting for a clean, 30-day continuing resolution to keep the government open without handing Trump and Musk a blank check, 10 Dems (including Schumer himself) caved and allowed a terrible Republican CR to pass.
That CR includes massive cuts that will jeopardize Social Security, leave tens of thousands of families without homes or food, and slashes benefits to veterans. It’s a slush fund that gives Trump and Musk even more power over federal spending. Instead of trying to rein in the power grab, this CR legitimizes it.
Senator Tammy Duckworth and ALL House Democrats from Illinois voted NO against this dangerous CR. Senator Dick Durbin broke with the vast majority of his caucus, voting YES to allow the GOP funding bill to advance without any restrictions on Trump and Musk to dismantle the federal government.
👉 Call Senator Duckworth and your House Representative today and thank them for holding the line.
Call Senator Duckworth at 312-886-3506 or at other numbers listed here
👉 Call Senator Durbin and let him know how angry you are that he caved in to the Republican CR.
Use this form to call Senator Durbin now.

ICA & Partner Action: WI Supreme Court Election Actions This Week
Help us protect Wisconsin’s Liberal Supreme Court Majority on April 1st! Your efforts helped Justice Janet Protasiewicz win, and now we need your support for Susan Crawford to secure a seat on the WI Supreme Court.
Wisconsin’s Supreme Court is a crucial battleground. Judge Crawford is running to replace retiring Justice Ann Walsh Bradley. A win for Crawford keeps the court’s 4-3 liberal majority intact, while a loss to MAGA-backed Brad Schimel could flip the court conservative for the next decade.
The upcoming state Supreme Court is going to play an enormous role, not only in shaping the future of freedom and democracy and workers’ rights, but as an institution that can provide a check on the Trump administration and on what MAGA Republicans are trying to do. Abortion access, voting rights, legislative maps, and collective bargaining rights are all at stake.

ICA & Partner Action: Join A Rally This Week!
Betty Alzamora of Indivisible Chicago has a clear message: we have to stay in the streets. We have to maintain a sustained presence, displaying publicly that we will not allow Trump, MAGA, Musk and his billionaire crew to steal from the poor to give to the rich.
Through protest we can make sure that the horrific reality of a Trump presidency is always in the face of everyday folks. This can help move public perception and lead to sweeping change at the midterms.
👉 We hope to see you at an upcoming rally this week!
