Indivisible Action: Solidarity In Acton 2/23

Celebrate Black history and leadership by examining how past organizers built resilient movements. Explore systemic power structures and inequities, and translate historical lessons into contemporary movement-building and leadership practices.

We are thrilled to announce our special guest, Barbara R. Arnwine, esq, president & founder of the Transformative Justice Coalition. Barbara is internationally renowned for contributions on critical justice issues including the passage of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1991 and the 2006 reauthorization of provisions of the Voting Rights Act.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Attend the Solidarity in Action session, Systems and Power: Lessons From Those Who Came Before Us on Monday, February 23 at 6 p.m. CT

ICA Partner Action: Stop Deportation Airlines

Once upon a time, Avelo Airlines flew ICE flights, but sustained pressure changed that.

Now let's stop Key Lime Air from flying deportation flights, too.
A group of ICNW volunteers started sending letters to their leaders a few weeks ago.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Please join us in emailing the Chicago Commissioner of Aviation to urge him to say no to Key Lime at Chicago's airfields.

Download the email template and send your message to Michael.McMurray@cityofchicago.org.

ICA Partner Action: Protest Sign-Making & Clothing Drive

Join Indivisible Chicago Greater West Loop as we get ready for the upcoming No Kings protest (and more)! Weโ€™ll have poster board and markers on hand for sign-making, but feel free to bring any extra supplies youโ€™d like to use or share.

Weโ€™ll also be collecting clothing donations for the Pilsen Food Pantry, which works to improve health and social outcomes through the distribution of fresh, culturally appropriate food, clothing, housewares, and community events. Their greatest needs right now are casual menโ€™s clothing and warm gloves.

Lastly, one of Indivisible Chicago's Lead Marshals will stop by for a quick Q&A about becoming a safety marshal, including upcoming trainings.

Come make your voice heard, support the community, and leave with a sign ready for action.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Join the event on Saturday, February 28 from 2 โ€“ 4pm at West Loop Branch, Chicago Public Library (122 N Aberdeen St)

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
