On March 28th, we will rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings–Hands off Chicago and hands off our democracy. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it.

As the atrocities from the Trump regime have grown, so has our resistance in Chicago and across the country. Help us show the nation and the world that Chicago is united in opposing the illegal, cruel, and destructive attacks against our neighbors, our communities and our democracy.

Indivisible Action: Stop the SAVE Act

Republicans are once again pushing for a series of voter suppression bills–all variations of their infamous “SAVE Act” which would create unnecessary obstacles for millions of eligible Americans trying to register to vote. 

This voter suppression legislation would require every voter to show proof of citizenship, like a passport or original birth certificate bearing their current legal name, when registering to vote in federal elections. That might sound simple, but the reality is that millions of eligible voters don’t have these documents readily available. Because these bills would require showing this proof in person, they would eliminate online and mail-in voter registration. These bills wouldn’t improve election security–they would just make it significantly harder for everyday Americans to vote.

👉 Call your Senators and tell them you want them to vote against the SAVE Act, the MEGA Act, or any bill that attacks our voting rights.

Join Indivisible Chicago Greater West Loop for a Coffee Hour with visits from Richard Boykin, Dave Erlich, Thomas Fisher, Rory Hoskins, Anabel Mendoza, and Jazmin J. Robinson, Democratic candidates for Illinois’ 7th Congressional District, who will join us for an informal meet-and-greet with attendees.
