Thursday, March 12 - Impeach Robert F. Kennedy Jr. / Show Up Chicago's Primary Preview 3/16 / Make Utility Bills Fair

Partner Action: ICE Off Campus TODAY

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s tenure as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been rife with blatant attacks on science and public health. He has caused damage to our nation’s scientific research and public health infrastructure that will set us back decades. Under his so-called leadership:

Kennedy is a threat to scientific integrity, public health, and the lives of those served by HHS research and programs.

👉 Congress must hold him accountable for his careless statements and actions that endanger the health and safety of every American.

Script: II’m calling to express my outrage over RFK Jr.’s continuous attacks on public health and essential scientific research. His dangerous proliferation of vaccine denialism and baseless claims about autism puts countless lives at risk. I ask that [NAME] immediately move to impeach him as Secretary.

ICA Action: Show Up Chicago's Primary Preview 3/16

On the night before primary election day, join us to review the campaigns and preview the results: the most important races, most interesting candidates, the good moves and the gaffes, and the likely outcomes and consequences for state and city. Our special guests will be two of our favorites, political strategist Pete Giangreco and Brandon Pope, Chicago's man for all media.

Presented monthly by the Blue Beginning chapter of Indivisible Chicago, Show Up Chicago is a combination community gathering, cocktail hour, and political panel show at Chicago's most highly evolved saloon. It's a great chance to mingle with like-minded neighbors, hear the latest from political insiders, and gossip about the issues we all care about.

👉 Show Up Chicago's Primary Preview on Monday, March 16, 7 – 8:30pm at The Hideout (1354 W Wabansia Ave)

Partner Action: Make Utility Bills Fair

Every day, thousands of people in Illinois struggle to decide whether they should keep the lights on or put food on the table for their family. In fact, since 2015, Illinoisans have lost $2 billion to predatory alternative electricity suppliers. HB 4313 (Rep. Du Buclet) would create protections for consumers it would:

  • Prevent alternative electricity suppliers from charging 25% above the current standard utility rate.

  • Mandate that suppliers notify and get approval from consumers for a rate increase.

  • Prohibit high-pressure tactics that lead to deceptive sign-ups

Protecting Illinois consumers from predatory utility practices will save Illinoisans millions.

👉 Add your voice: tell your legislators to support HB 4313.
