ICA Action: Volunteer for No Kings Day

On March 28th, we will rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings–Hands off Chicago and hands off our democracy. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it.

We hope you'll join us in Grant Park on Saturday, March 28, but we also need your help to make this event a success!

👉 Indivisible Greater West Loop will be chalking Union Park and distributing fliers in the West Loop on Sunday, March 15 to spread the word about No Kings.

👉 Some of the volunteer opportunities where we could still use help include:

  • Heavy Setup (looking for some strong folks)

  • Flyering: hand out information about Indivisible Chicago as well as ways folks can get involved. We will train you!

  • General Q and A: answer basic questions like: when do we march, where are the bathrooms, how long is the march. Don’t worry, we will give all the answers and make sure you are prepared!

  • Sign and banner holders: carry signs or help carry the banners that will lead or help guide the march – we need a lot of people for this!

  • Chant and song leaders

  • Clean up (including more opportunities for strong folks)

If you are able to step up and fill one of these roles, please sign up here. We are so grateful for all our volunteers.

👉 Safety Marshal Training

Who keeps us safe? We keep us safe. But it takes many safety marshals to make that happen.

Indivisible Chicago is hosting multiple training sessions led by experienced Marshal facilitators. Safety Marshals are dedicated to keeping people safe so that their voices can be heard at community events, protests, and actions such as No Kings. Come learn community safety skills such as crowd management and de-escalation techniques. This is an opportunity to learn together and to build a team. Click here to register!

Early donations help us know how much we can stretch our budget, so please consider donating now

Join Indivisible as we make calls to support Robert Peters for Illinois' second Congressional District ahead of the Illinois Primary on March 17th! Robert Peters has been a champion for justice, fought ICE, and worked hard for everyday Illinoisans. Now we'll work hard to take him over the primary finish line in the final stretch before election day.

Partner Action: School Vouchers 101 3/16

On the eve of Illinois’ primary election and with the legislative session ramping up, PEER Illinois is bringing together public education advocates, parents and community members for a virtual panel to discuss the real harms of school vouchers.

Panelists will bust some myths, share warnings from a guest in another state where vouchers have eaten away at public school funding, and discuss the upcoming ballot measures to push federal vouchers that åwe're seeing across Illinois. You’ll come away with advocacy tools for the fight for the public dollars our public schools still need.

👉 Sign up to attend here!
