Monday, March 16 - Witness Slip Roundup / WI Canvass Saturday / Stop Trump's War with Iran

Community Action: Witness Slip Roundup

The Illinois General Assembly is back in Session, and now’s the time to make your voice heard! A Witness Slip is a person or group's position on a particular bill. Filling out a witness slip is a great way to let legislators know whether you support or oppose a bill.

Witness slips are read during a committee hearing and help inform legislators as to where people stand, allowing informed decisions when voting. Witness slips are a quick way to make your voice heard in state government.

👉 Fill out these witness slips as PROPONENT to support legislation that that addresses elections, gun safety, civi rights, and more.

Additionally, fill out an OPPONENT witness slip against HB5511, a digital age authentication bill that can be used to track your movement and crack down on any behavior that the regime dislikes in the future.

Not sure how to fill out a witness slip? Check the link above for instructions!

ICA Action: Canvass to Win the WI Supreme Court Saturday

The April 7 election for the Wisconsin Supreme Court could determine the future of fair maps, abortion rights, and democracy in this critical swing state.

A win by Democrat-endorsed candidate Chris Taylor would strengthen the court’s pro-democracy majority — helping protect voting rights and push back against MAGA extremism at the state level.

That’s why we’re heading to Kenosha to knock doors and talk directly with voters.

We’re partnering with the Working Families Party of Wisconsin for this critical race. Nationally, WFP is working closely with Indivisible to organize resistance to Trump and build long-term power for working people.

We're heading to Kenosha every Saturday through April 4 (carpools available). New to canvassing? We’ve got you. We’ll send background materials ahead of time, pair newcomers with experienced volunteers, and brief you so you feel confident talking to voters.

👉 Sign up to canvass in Kenosha, Saturdays through April 4!

Indivisible Action: Stop Trump's War with Iran

Trump's unauthorized war in Iran has already taken the lives of US servicemembers and at least 1,000 Iranian civilians. It has devolved into a larger regional conflict, with missile and drone strikes, military operations, and retaliatory attacks now wounding and killing civilians in countries across the Middle East.

The American public is firmly against this conflict. None of us want another forever war. Congress must act. We’re calling on Members of Congress to respond to this crisis by:

  • Conducting immediate oversight

  • Continuing to force votes on War Powers Resolutions

  • Restricting or cutting off funding for unauthorized hostilities, which includes opposing any supplemental packages that would fund the war

  • Holding the Trump administration accountable and putting an immediate stop to this war.

  • Publicly opposing the war

Republicans need to understand that we will not accept their rubber stamping endless wars, and any Democrats who are falling short need to understand that we will hold them accountable.

👉 Tell Congress to act now!
