Community Action: Hands Off Healthcare 3/23

With Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress raising costs and slashing coverage, we have to stand up for affordable healthcare. On the anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, join patients, healthcare providers, and healthcare advocates to demand: hands off our healthcare.

👉 Join Hands Off Healthcare on Monday, March 23 from 10 – 11am at AIDS Foundation of Chicago (200 W Monroe St).

Community Action: Fight Back Against Citizens United TODAY!

The people of Illinois have a chance to reclaim their democracy.

HB3071, introduced by Representative Amy Briel, bans foreign-influenced corporations from spending money to influence local and state elections, closing a major loophole created by Citizens United. If passed, Illinois would set a national standard for defending our country's democratic integrity. But to make that happen, we need your help to ensure that HB3071 is on the docket for 2026.

👉 Sign a witness slip as a PROPONENT of HB307 by 3 p.m. TODAY! Get witness slip instructions here.

👉 Then, call your state representative and urge them to support HB3071!

Community Action: Bring Jose Palma Mejia Home

Jose Palma Mejia was working as a newspaper distributor to raise his two US citizen daughters when his life came to a halt. He was stopped by ICE during operation Midway Blitz and has been detained for months in Mississippi.

Jose's daughters (11 and 16 years old) are living through a traumatic and precarious situation: their mother was deported months ago, and they're now living with their half brother. It's imperative we reunite them with their father, so they can be TOGETHER - not hundreds of miles away.

👉 Please help us demand that ICE #BringJoseHome
