On March 28th, we will rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings–Hands off Chicago and hands off our democracy. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it.
As the atrocities from the Trump regime have grown, so has our resistance in Chicago and across the country. Help us show the nation and the world that Chicago is united in opposing the illegal, cruel, and destructive attacks against our neighbors, our communities and our democracy.

Community Action: Stop DOJ from Shielding Its Lawyers
We urge you to take immediate action in response to a Proposed Rulemaking from the Department of Justice that would thwart the existing lawyer discipline system for current and former Department of Justice lawyers.
This proposal would effectively remove DOJ lawyers from the oversight of bar disciplinary authorities that have long existed in the States, Territories, and the District of Columbia, placing the process under the control of the Attorney General. Learn more about what's at stake.

Submitting comments on or before April 6, 2026 in opposition to the proposed rulemaking as set forth in the Federal Register Notice.

Requesting all law-related organizations to speak out and submit comments. This includes urging all bar associations that are not involved in the disciplinary process to participate in responding to this rulemaking process.

Community Action: Ask Your Legislators To Support Tax Justice
Illinois has the 8th most unequal tax system in the nation, with the top 1% hoarding billions needed for vital programs. Citizen Action Illinois and the Illinois Revenue Alliance are championing four bills to ensure tax justice:
HB5318/SB3486: Ends offshore tax havens through "worldwide combined reporting," generating $1.2 billion annually.
HB5215/SB3376: Establishes a Billionaire Wealth Tax on asset appreciation to match the tax rates of working families.
HB4894/SB3353: Imposes a tax on Big Tech digital ad revenue, estimated to generate $1.1 billion annually.
HB5125/SB3796: Decouples from federal tax giveaways and closes corporate loopholes like "carried interest," saving $710 million annually.
👉 Illinois deserves a just tax system. Add your voice and ask your legislators to support these progressive revenue bills.
