Partner Action: Investigate the Trump Administration’s Extrajudicial Killings

Over a dozen civilian vessels have now been struck by US forces in the Caribbean and Pacific, with dozens killed in the attacks. While Pentagon lawyers raise alarms over the legality of these unprovoked attacks, the White House is circulating legislation that would grant Trump sweeping military authority to kill anyone he deems to be a drug trafficker and attack countries that he claims supports them.

The Senate voted down S.J. Res. 90, a joint resolution directing the cessation of US military involvement in any non-Congressionally-authorized hostilities against Venezuela. Only Senators Murkowski (R-AK) and Paul (R-KY) went against party lines to support the measure.

👉 Lawmakers must publicly investigate this attack and condemn the administration’s ongoing abuses of power and lawless violence.

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from Chicago. I’m calling to express my concern about the Trump administration's repeated military strikes on civilian boats in international waters. These attacks lack legal authority, are killing people without due process, and highlight this administration’s lawless use of military force. I ask that [NAME]…

[CHOOSE 1-3 options]:

  • conduct public investigations into the legal authority of the attack, (and)

  • support a resolution to terminate these unauthorized strikes and block this administration's attempt to broaden their military power, (and)

  • call for the resignation of Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense, (and)

  • call for the resignation of Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, (and)

  • support articles of impeachment and move to convict Trump for his repeated defiance of the law.
