Indivisible Action: Stop Trump’s War in Venezuela!

Indivisible Chicago strongly condemns the Trump regime’s attack on the sovereign nation of Venezuela. It is illegal, unconstitutional, destructive, and will lead to more violence. This action was taken unilaterally by Trump without any Congressional authorization. The use of force in this attack is also a violation of international law. The world is a far more dangerous place as the US demonstrates that it will use unaccountable violence against anyone, anywhere, at will. Read our full statement here.

👉 Join us in calling on Congress to exercise their constitutional authority and remind Trump that there are no kings in America.

Partner Action: Public Hearing on CPD and ICE Interactions 1/8

The Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA) is required by ordinance to hold a special meeting when it receives a petition signed by at least 2,000 Chicago residents. District Councils and community members submitted a petition requesting a public hearing on Chicago Police Department (CPD) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) interactions.

As a result, CCPSA will hold a special meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Thalia Hall (1807 S Allport St,).

This meeting will serve as a listening session and public comment forum, providing community members an opportunity to share their experiences and concerns related to CPD interactions with ICE. We are especially interested in hearing about any instances you or the communities you serve have witnessed and believe the Commission and the public should be aware of.

The meeting will consist entirely of public comment, with the microphone open for community members to speak directly to the Commission for up to 2 minutes each.

👉 See more details about this meeting.

👉 Written public comments may be submitted in person at the meeting or by email at CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org

ICA Partner Action: Coffee Hour with IL-07 Candidates 1/11

Each month, Indivisible Greater West Loop gathers for either a Coffee Hour or Happy Hour — a chance to build community, welcome new members, and share ideas for our chapter’s work. For the first few months of 2026, we're meeting TWICE per month!

The first Coffee Hour will include a visit from Thomas Fisher, Anabel Mendoza, Jazmin J. Robinson and Reed Showalter, Democratic candidates for Illinois’ 7th Congressional District, who will join us for an informal meet-and-greet with attendees.

Come connect in a small group setting with like-minded neighbors from the West Loop, River West, Near West Side, University Village, Tri-Taylor, and nearby neighborhoods.

👉 Join the Coffee Hour on Sunday, January 11 from 10am – 11:30am at Time Out Market Chicago (916 W Fulton Market).

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
