Wednesday, January 28 - Chicago Under Siege Discussion TONIGHT / Resume Naturalization Ceremonies / Senate Debate Watch Party 2/19
Partner Action: TONIGHT - Chicago Under Siege Journalist Panel
Joan Esposito and Edwin Eisendrath will talk with journalists Greg Pratt, Jon Seidel, and Colin Boyle about reporting during the ICE / CPB surge in Chicago.
Chicagoโs journalists were firsthand witnesses to the terror campaign often becoming targets themselves. They documented the violence, the heartbreak, the resistance, and the legal challenges, with terrific reporting, dramatic photos and videos, and solid investigative work.
๐ Join the event TONIGHT at 6 p.m. at The Hideout (1354 W Wabansia). Tickets are $10.

ICA Action: Tell Senators Naturalization Ceremonies Must Resume
Trump administration has halted U.S. citizenship naturalization ceremonies, debunking the myth that Republicans support legal immigration. This is another way that Trump believes the Republicans can keep the House and Senate by stopping new citizens from voting in the upcoming midterm election.
๐ Contact Sen. Schumer at (202) 224-6542 and ask him to add the demand that citizenship naturalization ceremonies be restarted ASAP, before Democrats support any bill with DHS funding.
ICA Partner Action: Whistle Kit/Senate Debate Watch Party 2/19
Join Indivisible Elk Grove Township in blowing the whistle on ICE!
Whistle Kit making parties are a community safety practice rooted in resistance movements to help alert neighbors during immigration raids.
In moments like these, weโre reminded that protection is not just a policy, itโs a community responsibility.
Make new friends, watch the U.S. Senate debate, and discuss local and national issues, all while saving democracy by making Whistle Kits TOGETHER!
We will provide all you'll need, including zines, Know Your Rights cards, and whistle kit supplies! We ask that you take kits home with you to distribute to local business, neighbors, and anyone who is in this fight with us. Bring yourself, and perhaps a few friends!
๐ Join the event on Thursday, February 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Work Sports Bar (1190 E Higgins Rd).
