Indivisible Action: No War Wednesdays Phone Bank Series

Trump's unauthorized and unprovoked war in Iran has cost the lives of US service members and thousands of civilians in Iran and across the Middle East. Across the broader region, retaliatory strikes, drone attacks, blockades, and widening instability are placing civilian lives at risk every day.

Americans across the country overwhelmingly oppose this war, regardless of political affiliation or ideology. And the cost of this war is not only lives lost around the world, but lives lost here in the US as well, as the GOP wants to cut healthcare AGAIN to pay for this unjust war.

πŸ‘‰ Join Indivisible every Wednesday in May as we call voters in key states to demand their Members of Congress block any more funding for this war, use the War Powers Resolutions, and hold this administration accountable.

ICA Action: Michigan Canvass 5/16

Come and join Indivisible Chicago talking to voters in the critical swing state of Michigan.

Our early canvasses focus on listening to what is on voters' minds, which will help inform the candidates and campaigns we'll be helping to win in November.

We'll make the 90-minute drive from Chicago to where we’re headed in Michigan. We’ll have a pre-canvass briefing once we get there, then split off into pairs to knock doors and talk with voters.

We'll provide all the info and prep you'll need and will have carpools for anyone needing a ride.

πŸ‘‰ Sign up for the next canvass on Saturday, May 16.

ICA Partner Action: Show Up Chicago 5/18

Presented monthly by the Blue Beginning chapter of Indivisible Chicago, Show Up Chicago is a combination community gathering, cocktail hour, and political panel show at Chicago's most highly evolved saloon. It's a great chance to mingle with like-minded neighbors, hear the latest from political insiders, and gossip about the issues we all care about.

This month our issue is housing and Governor Pritzker's BUILD proposal to cut red tape and encourage construction statewide. What would BUILD mean for Chicago? Will city pols support it? Should they? How will it affect their cherished aldermanic privilege? We'll discuss with Richard Day of the must-read Substack newsletter "A City That Works," and State Rep Eva-Dina Delgado, whose 3rd district includes parts of Logan Square, Belmont-Cragin, and Elmwood Park.

πŸ‘‰ Join us on Monday, May 18 at 7 p.m. at The Hideout (1354 W Wabansia Ave).

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from community partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
