Partner Action: Oppose the SAVE America Act
This week, Trump renewed his push for the SAVE America Act by announcing that he will oppose reauthorization of FISA unless Congress also advances the anti-voter legislation. The bill would create new barriers to voting by requiring proof of citizenship documents, such as a passport or birth certificate, to register to vote and cast a ballot.
Millions of eligible Americans do not have easy access to these documents, including seniors, military members serving abroad, people with disabilities, transgender Americans, and many married women whose legal names no longer match their birth certificates. Voting rights advocates warn that the SAVE America Act is designed to make it harder for eligible Americans to vote, not protect elections.
š Call Senators Durbin and Duckworth and urge them to continue opposing the SAVE America Act and any legislation that restricts voting rights.
