Partner Action: Tell USPS Hands Off Our Mail Ballots
A newly proposed U.S. Postal Service rule would give USPS a greater role in processing and verifying mail ballots in federal elections. Voting rights advocates warn that the proposal could create new barriers for voters by delaying ballot delivery, increasing administrative burdens on election officials, and allowing ballots to be blocked before they ever reach eligible voters.
With millions of Americans relying on vote-by-mail and absentee voting, election administration should remain in the hands of state and local officials—not the postal service. USPS is required to accept public comments before moving forward, but the comment period closes July 2.
👉 Submit a public comment to USPS urging it to reject the proposed mail ballot regulations before July 2 at 5 PM ET.
Note: Be sure to include your name and address, as USPS requires this information for comments to be accepted

Partner Action: Tell Congress to Protect Independent Science
The Office of Management and Budget has proposed a new rule that would allow political appointees to approve federally funded scientific research and require grants to align with administration priorities. This would shift control away from career scientists and peer review processes and put political officials in charge of deciding what research gets funded.
We must urge Congress to block this move and defend the independence of federally funded research. Political interference in science threatens scientific integrity, public health, and evidence-based policymaking, and Congress must act to stop it.
👉 Call your Members of Congress with Stand Up for Science's call tool and script and demand they oppose political interference in scientific research.
👉 Follow up with an email to your Members of Congress.
