Monday, August 24 - Protect Our National Forests / Yes You Canvass Training 9/10 / Help Make Sure Wisconsin Votes Count
Partner Action: Protect Our National Forests
For more than 25 years, the Roadless Area Conservation Rule has protected millions of acres of national forests from road construction and large-scale logging. Now, the Trump administration is moving to repeal these protections, opening roughly 45 million acres of public lands to logging and development.
Rolling back the Roadless Rule could threaten wildlife habitat and clean drinking water sources, while increasing wildfire risks. These public lands belong to all of us, and once they're lost to development, we can't simply get them back.
π Submit a public comment by September 21 telling the U.S. Forest Service to keep the Roadless Rule and protect our national forests from expanded logging and road construction.
Note: Public comments become part of the public record, so avoid including personal or sensitive information.

Help Help Make Sure Wisconsin Votes Count
A voter can do everything right and still have an absentee ballot rejected because of an issue that could have been prevented. WisDems Voter Protection is working to reach Wisconsin voters before problems arise and help more people successfully cast their ballots by mail.
Preventative Ballot Cure volunteers call voters who may need additional support, providing reminders, information, and assistance so their ballots can be completed and returned correctly.
π Get trained to join the WisDems Preventative Ballot Cure team! Trainings are available September 19, 23, and 24, with voter outreach running September 28βOctober 3. You'll learn the basics of Wisconsin absentee voting, call scripts, and everything you need to get started.
