ICA Action: Canvass in Michigan This Month
Michigan is a critical battleground this November, and we’re heading to Benton Harbor to talk with voters and help turn out the vote.
Beginning October 4, we’ll have two canvassing shifts each Sunday: an early shift from 10 AM–1:30 PM ET and an afternoon shift from 12–3:30 PM ET. Sandwiches and water will be available at 1 PM for volunteers between shifts. Carpools are available, too!
👉 Sign up to canvass in Michigan on October 4, 11, or 18.
On October 11, you can also hop on a bus from Chicago’s West Loop. We’ll provide training on the Ground Truth canvassing app during the ride, then pair up to knock doors in Benton Harbor. Afterward, we’ll gather at the nearby Livery for a rally and celebration before heading back to Chicago.
ICA Chapter Action: Concert for Democracy 10/11
Join eight Indivisible chapters for an afternoon of live music, community, and grassroots activism at the 2nd annual Concert for Democracy. The event brings together local musicians, civic leaders, and community organizations while raising funds for Partners for Our Communities, a nonprofit supporting underserved and marginalized communities.
Enjoy performances from Emma’s Revolution, Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues, Chicago Singing Resistance, the Oak Park Raging Grannies, and more.
U.S. Rep. Delia Ramirez will join other civic leaders and elected officials for remarks, and you’ll have the chance to connect with local organizations and sign up for volunteer opportunities, including upcoming get-out-the-vote efforts.
Suggested donation is $25, payable in advance or at the door. More information on the event can be found here.

Partner Action: Postcards to Protect Public Schools 10/3
Illinois’ public schools are still not fully funded, including Chicago Public Schools, even as the state works toward its 2027 funding goal. Meanwhile, a new federal private school voucher program could send billions of dollars to private schools.
Join Illinois Families for Public Schools to learn more about the fight for fully funded public schools and send postcards to Governor Pritzker urging him to take action. Postcards and pizza will be provided!
👉 Join the event Saturday, October 3, from 1–2:30 PM at El Schomburg, 2538 W. Division St.!
