Monday, August 31 - Protect the WI Midterms / Adopt Young Michigan Voters / Show Up Chicago 9/14

Partner Action: Volunteer to Protect the WI Midterms

Wisconsin needs hotline, ballot cure, and data collection volunteers to ensure a safe, fair midterm election.

As a hotline volunteer, you will be taking calls from voters, answering their questions, and helping them request or track their absentee ballot, find their polling place, contact their clerk, make ballot cures calls and more.

As a ballot cure volunteer, you will be calling voters whose ballots have been rejected, returned, or never delivered to them.

As a data collection volunteer, you will learn how to research early voting schedules for municipalities to empower voters with the information they need to early vote in the General Election! All of the collected information will assist our Data team in creating our user-friendly map where voters can locate their early voting location.

Community Action: Adopt Young Michigan Voters

Michigan will be one of the states where youth voters can have the most impact on elections this year - but younger voters may find voting more challenging, and need more support to follow through.

Sending personalized New Voter Guides will help these young voters access information, make plans, and get inspired to cast their ballots in the general election on Nov 3.

ICA Chapter Action: Show Up Chicago 9/14

Tired of scrolling social media and growing more worried every day about the coming midterm election? We have the solution for you. Several solutions, in fact, all aimed at making sure you don’t wake up November 4 wishing you’d done more to stop this debacle.

As we’re realizing more and more, the Democratic Party’s approach to voter contact is broken. To fix it, our friends at Swing Left have launched an ambitious effort they call Ground Truth. In its first election cycle it has been a smashing success.

Our guest experts will be Janna Kaplan, deputy director of organizing for Swing Left, and Bill Mengebier, lead Michigan organizer (and a board member) at Indivisible Chicago.

Presented monthly by the Blue Beginning chapter of Indivisible Chicago, Show Up Chicago is a combination community gathering, cocktail hour, and political panel show at Chicago's most highly evolved saloon. It's a great chance to mingle with like-minded neighbors, hear the latest from political insiders, and gossip about the issues we all care about.

👉 Join Show Up Chicago on Monday, September 14, 7 – 8:30pm at The Hideout (1354 W Wabansia Ave).

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from community partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
