Partner Action: TODAY - Defending The Rule of Law in Our States Call
As threats to democracy grow, state and local leaders and activists are stepping up to defend our communities. On Wednesday, August 20th at 6:30 PM CT, we’re hosting a national virtual call — “Defending the Rule of Law in our States” — to spotlight these efforts, share effective strategies, and build momentum for local action to protect people and democracy.
This call will feature stories and tools from public officials and grassroots organizers working to protect the rule of law. It will also offer specific ways for people to get involved and support this work in their own communities.
Speakers include MN Attorney General Keith Ellison, FL Rep. Anna Eskamani, MD Comptroller Brooke Lierman, NY Rep. Micah Lasher, and Los Angeles labor activist Héctor (Teto) Huezo.

Join us for a picket at the Tesla dealership and be part of the movement to defang Elon Musk, the world's richest villain. Though he's no longer in government, his influence remains strong—he continues to use your data to fuel deportation efforts, his dogecoin still supports him, and he and his allies threaten social security. Musk owns X, which he uses as a propaganda platform, and his wealth funds white supremacy and transphobia worldwide.
This is a crucial moment. By selling your Teslas and dumping Tesla stock, we aim to tank his shares and reduce his power. Stopping Musk is vital to saving lives and defending democracy.
👉 Join the event on Saturday, August 23 at noon at the Gold Coast Tesla Dealership (901 N Rush St)
