Tuesday, November 19 - Rally Against Project 2025 11/21 / Restrict Arms Sales to Israel

Actions You Can Take

Action 1: Rally Against Project 2025 Thursday

Join the Chicago Teachers Union on November 21 for a powerful rally in Chicago to stand against President-Elect Donald Trump’s dangerous Project 2025 agenda. Regardless of election outcomes, we possess the collective power as workers and as a united city. This rally is our chance to demonstrate that we are committed to protecting our communities and defending against the rise of fascism. Together, we can advocate for a strong union contract that safeguards sanctuary, LGBTQIA+ rights, and a public education system rooted in critical thinking and history.

Our students and school communities need us now more than ever. With educators working without a contract since June, it's crucial that we secure transformative agreements that prioritize investments and protections for our schools. This is our moment to show that Chicago's families and educators will not waver in the fight for equity and justice. Let’s come together to ensure our voices are heard and our demands are met. Your presence matters—bring your friends, colleagues, and families to the rally!

Action 2: Tell Congress to Restrict Arms Sales to Israel

On November 8, 2023, the Board of Indivisible Chicago issued a statement urging our Members of Congress to support an immediate ceasefire to ensure support for humanitarian aid to residents of Gaza, to demand the release of all hostages, and to block US military aid to Israel for offensive weapons used to attack and harm civilians in Gaza.

In the coming days, we anticipate that Congress will be considering a series of Joint Resolutions of Disapproval that would restrict the sale of specific offensive arms to Israel. With the humanitarian crisis in Gaza intensifying in recent months, the ICA Board urges our Senators and Members of Congress to support the Joint Resolutions.

The ICA Board recognizes that this position may not be supported by all of our affiliates or members.  If you do agree with the Board’s position, please call Senators Durbin and Duckworth and your Representative to urge their support of the Joint Resolutions.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
