ICA Action: Yes You Canvass Training 9/10
It's 60 days until the midterms, and Indivisible Chicago Alliance chapters across Chicagoland are kicking election efforts into high gear.
Throughout the 2026 primary season, progressive candidates have repeatedly shown that name recognition and campaign cash are no match for effective grassroots campaigning. And the single most effective form of grassroots campaigning is canvassing: knocking on voters' doors and engaging them in one-on-one conversations.
But maybe you're hesitant about canvassing. A lot of people are! Or, maybe it's been a while and you need a refresher, or just have questions about how it works.
Whether you've never canvassed or just need to shake off the rust, this training class is for you. We show you what to expect, lead you through the process step-by-step, share tips accumulated over years of experience, and answer all your questions and concerns.
👉 Join the virtual Yes You Canvass! training on Thursday, September 10 at 5:30 p.m.
Then make sure you're watching for the next canvass opportunities and other volunteer events on our Action Calendar. It’s November or never. Let’s get to work!
Indivisible Action: Stop Trump’s Crypto Corruption – No to CLARITY Act
Last year, the House passed the CLARITY Act (H.R. 3633), a bill disguised as “crypto regulation” that actually serves the billionaires and bad actors at the center of today’s crypto chaos. This bill doesn’t protect consumers, doesn’t close money laundering loopholes, and does nothing to stop the biggest threat of all: Trump’s crypto-fueled bribery machine. Now, the CLARITY Act is being considered in the Senate.
Trump has already amassed $1.4 billion in the last year alone, and the latest bill text doesn’t include any meaningful ethics fix:
It does not stop the main ways Trump has accumulated, and will continue to accumulate, crypto wealth. It would only restrict officials and their spouses from issuing or sponsoring new digital assets.
It does not stop Trump’s ongoing corruption: It doesn’t stop his children from profiting off his office and it doesn’t require him to divest from any of his businesses making crypto deals.
Unfortunately, 78 House Democrats helped pass the CLARITY Act in the House last summer. We need to make sure Senate Dems don’t make the same mistake. Thankfully, a number of Senate Dems we were worried about stated their opposition to the bill. Now we need to make sure the rest follow suit.
👉 Call your Democratic senators now and tell them: OPPOSE the CLARITY Act.
