Partner Action: Fight Trump's Defiance of the Courts
On April 14th, the Trump administration blatantly defied a unanimous Supreme Court order by refusing to return a Venezuelan migrant they mistakenly sent to a torture prison in El Salvador. During a hearing for Rumeysa Ozturk, a student detained by ICE for writing an op-ed, a federal judge raised alarms about the administration's refusal to comply with court orders, signaling a looming constitutional crisis.
Since Day 1, this administration has eroded the separation of powers by:
Stonewalling federal judges and threatening impeachment
Revoking birthright citizenship
Usurping Congress’s financial authority
Violating First Amendment rights and due process
Exposing sensitive data to unregulated access
👉 We are in a constitutional crisis. It’s time to call on Congress to act, reclaim their role, and protect our democracy.

Partner Action: Oppose HR 2616 and HR 2617
According to our state’s values and laws, LGBTQ+ students must be safe and affirmed in Illinois schools. That’s why we're urging our state representatives to vote NO on HR 2616 and HR 2617, a pair of harmful and discriminatory bills that will take power from our schools, stop teachers from acknowledging the existence of LGBTQ+ people, and require affirming school leaders to out trans students.
HR 2616 would require affirming elementary and middle schools that receive federal funds to forcibly out trans students. HR 2617 would prohibit schools receiving federal funds from using those funds to teach or advance concepts that recognize the existence of trans people.
