Thursday, March 6 - Demand a Town Hall / Fight Trump's Tariffs / Wisconsin Supreme Court Phone Banks

ICA Action: Demand a Town Hall

We need our members of Congress speaking out every hour of every day, decrying the actions of Trump and Elon Musk. We need them flooding the airwaves with the message that Trump and Musk are violating the Constitution and hurting your family and, if they aren't stopped, Congress is going to lose their ability to check Trump's power.

We are calling on our members of Congress to engage with their constituents and hold regular town halls. While we have seen some of our Representatives take initiative with this, we need to see more.

Even if your Representative is has been holding town halls, we urge you to send a letter just to encourage them to keep it up. Of course, you can always personalize to acknowledge any actions they have taken.

👉 Send a letter to your Senators and Representative asking them to hold a town hall so that they can hear our concerns and so they can hear us when we tell them that they need to do more. A lot more.

Partner Action: Fight Trump's Tariffs

After a 30-day reprieve, the Trump administration has imposed a 25% tariff on our top two trading partners, Canada and Mexico, and added a 10% tariff on Chinese imports. Canada and China have already retaliated, with Mexico planning to follow suit.

These tariffs will soon raise prices on everyday goods, from groceries to electronics to cars. Trump's tariffs threaten to disrupt supply chains, increase business costs, and jeopardize hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Both Republicans and Democrats in Congress are concerned about the impact on jobs and prices, but Trump appears focused on benefiting himself and his billionaire allies. By abusing emergency powers to impose these tariffs without oversight, Trump is circumventing Congress.

No president should have the authority to unilaterally disrupt the U.S. economy. We must demand that Congress step in to halt this dangerous overreach.

👉 Call and demand your representatives stop the Trump tariffs!

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [zip code]. I’m calling because I’m outraged that Trump's tariffs will make food, gas, and other essentials more expensive for American families like mine. These tariffs will disrupt supply chains, raise costs for businesses, and put hundreds of thousands of jobs at risk. Even Trump himself admitted these tariffs will hurt us. I ask that [REP NAME] speak out against these tariffs and demand accountability before more damage is done

Partner Action: Wisconsin Supreme Court Phone Banks

Help us protect Wisconsin’s liberal Supreme Court majority on April 1st! Your support helped Justice Janet Protasiewicz win, and now we need you to back Susan Crawford for a seat on the WI Supreme Court.

Crawford is running to replace retiring Justice Ann Walsh Bradley. A win keeps the court’s 4-3 liberal majority intact, while a loss to MAGA-backed Brad Schimel could flip it conservative for the next decade.

This election will shape the future of freedom, democracy, and workers' rights, serving as a crucial check on the Trump administration and MAGA Republicans. Abortion access, voting rights, and collective bargaining are all at stake!

👉 Join an upcoming Rockin' Zoom Phone Bank with Indivisible Illinois:

  • Saturday, March 8 - This session is targeting IL constituents on important issues Congresswoman Mary Miller’s insulin price cap bill, Champaign’s homeless shelter referendum, and supporting Democratic candidates in St. Joe Township

  • Sunday, March 9
