Indivisible Action: No More Funding for ICE/CPD
Wednesday night Republicans advanced a budget resolution that could result in ICE and Border Patrol getting an additional $140 billion to fund their warrantless arrests, militarized deployments, and concentration camps. Thatโs on top of the $170 billion Republicans pumped into Trumpโs mass deportation machine in last yearโs Big Ugly Bill.
And just like with the Big Ugly Bill, they're using the reconciliation process to try to ram this funding through without needing a single Democratic vote.
The bill Republicans are crafting is horrendous, but it could also be a huge political liability -- if we make it one. While Americans across the country are struggling to afford healthcare, housing, and food, Republicans are working overtime to shovel billions of dollars into unaccountable agencies that already have budgets bigger than small armies.

Join us to talk to Illinoisans about the importance of taxing the rich and patch them through to urge their legislators to take action!
๐Join the phone bank on Tuesday, May 5 at 11 a.m.
