Monday, May 4 - Oppose Harmful Farm Bill Provisions / Canvass in Michigan 5/16 / Elk Grove Chapter Meeting 5/19

Community Action: Oppose Harmful Provisions in the Farm Bill

The Farm Bill is a massive, multiyear legislative package that governs agricultural and food programs ranging from farm subsidies and crop insurance to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Congress is now attempting to pass H.R. 7567, their first full reauthorization of the Farm Bill since 2018. However, the bill contains multiple alarming provisions that undermine renewable energy and it fails to include much needed protections for people and the environment.

πŸ‘‰ As the Senate finalizes the bill, constituents must demand the bill include provisions to protect the environment and fight hunger.
