Community Action: Supreme Court Webinar TODAY

In the coming weeks, the Supreme Court will rule on West Virginia v. B.P.J.: a case that will determine whether trans youth have the right to play on school sports teams that reflect who they are.

When that happens, the conversations in our communities matter. Join us for a partner webinar co-hosted by Lambda Legal, CenterLink, and PFLAG in advance of the ruling.

Community Action: Election Protection Lawyer Mobilization TODAY

Across the country, the attacks on our free and fair elections are escalating, and lawyers are needed on the field now more than ever. Join David Becker, the Not Above the Law Coalition, Transformative Justice Coalition, Democracy Rising Collaborative, We The Action, American Constitution Society, Lawyers for Good Government, The Workers Circle, Public Citizen, and local partners for a national mobilization call on May 27th, bringing together attorneys committed to defending election integrity at a critical moment.

Attendees will hear directly from We The Action as it lays out the full range of ways lawyers can engage — before, during, and after the election. Attendees will also hear from lawyers and organizations in communities across the country already doing innovative work to protect voters in their communities — sharing concrete, replicable models for how attorneys on the call can engage in their communities.

The call will conclude with a powerful Call to Action from Barbara Arwine for the upcoming weekend of action for "Good Trouble Lives On."

👉 Join us TODAY at 1 p.m. CT as we all do our parts to protect the integrity of our upcoming elections.

Community Action: Witness Slip Roundup

The Illinois General Assembly is back in Session, and now’s the time to make your voice heard! A Witness Slip is a person or group's position on a particular bill. Filling out a witness slip is a great way to let legislators know whether you support or oppose a bill.

Witness slips are read during a committee hearing and help inform legislators as to where people stand, allowing informed decisions when voting. Witness slips are a quick way to make your voice heard in state government.

👉 Fill out these witness slips as PROPONENT to support legislation that expands access to early cancer screenings, establishes comprehensive menopause care and workplace protections, strengthens the privacy of sensitive medical records, and safeguards personal health autonomy.
