Partner Action: Justice for Lorenzo Movement Call 7/15

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo had lived in this country for 35 years. He was on his way to work, doing his job, when he was killed by an ICE agent in Houston. The workers who witnessed what happened are now being held in ICE detention facilities, while Lorenzoโ€™s family continues to demand answers, accountability, and justice.

Join Lorenzoโ€™s family, local organizers, and national organizations for a movement call to learn more about the case, hear updates, and take action in solidarity with everyone impacted by unchecked immigration enforcement violence.

Justice for Lorenzo means justice for all communities living under the threat of state violence and abuse of power.

๐Ÿ‘‰ RSVP for the Justice for Lorenzo National Call on Wednesday, July 15, from 7:00โ€“8:00 p.m. CT.

More actions, including a national day of action on July 25, will be announced soon.

ICA Chapter Action: Show Up Chicago 7/20

What does the growing popularity of democratic socialism mean for Chicago, the Democratic Party, and the 2026 midterms? Join Show Up Chicago for a conversation with UIC history professor Kevin Schultz, author of Why Everyone Hates White Liberals, as they explore "Our Socialist Moment" and what it could mean for the future of progressive politics.

Presented monthly by the Blue Beginning chapter of Indivisible Chicago, Show Up Chicago is a combination community gathering, cocktail hour, and political panel show at the Hideout. It's a great chance to connect with like-minded neighbors, hear from political experts, and discuss the issues shaping our city and country.
