Community Action: John Lewis Candlelight Vigil 7/17
John Lewis told us “Never let anyone – any person or any force - dampen, dim or diminish your light” On July 17-19, people here in Chicago, and all across the country will be coming together to show that the fight for voting rights continues.
👉 Please join us here in Chicago for the John Lewis Candlelight Vigil on Friday, July 17 at Buckingham Fountain as we kick off the weekend of action, honoring him and his commitment to voting rights.
There will also be events throughout the weekend that make it clear we’re staying in “good trouble” and "necessary trouble” as we work for justice.

Indivisible Action: Tell Congress to Oppose More Funding for Iran War
Join Swing Left for a Ground Truth phone bank—designed to fix what’s broken in Democratic organizing. We’re launching an innovative new program that will revolutionize how we connect Congress has voted to challenge Trump's unauthorized military actions against Iran through the War Powers Resolution, but the fight isn't over. Lawmakers must continue using every tool available to prevent further escalation and reject additional funding that would expand U.S. involvement in the conflict.
Take a few minutes today to contact your members of Congress and urge them to oppose any additional funding for this unauthorized war. Congressional pressure is critical to reasserting Congress's constitutional authority over decisions of war and peace.
👉 Use Indivisible's call tool to contact your Senators and Representative and urge them to oppose additional funding for Trump's war with Iran.
👉 After your call, send a follow-up email reinforcing your message and asking them to reject any future funding that would escalate the conflict.
