Friday, August 7 - Vote NO on the Farm Bill! / Postcard Party & Pastries 8/10 / Rank Your Beer Event 8/31
Community Action: Vote NO on the Farm Bill!
The Farm Bill shapes what food is grown in the U.S., how it is produced, where it is sold, and who can afford to buy it. It’s supposed to be passed every five years — but the 2018 Farm Bill has been extended three times, falling victim to partisan politicking and Trump’s campaign to shrink government spending.
Now, it's finally being considered in the Senate Agriculture Committee, but the current draft has been heavily shaped by Big Ag corporations.
As long as corporations maintain a stranglehold over our food system, farmers will not get fair prices for their crops and livestock, and consumers will have less access to nutritious, affordable food.
👉 Urge your senators to vote NO on the flawed, corporate-driven Farm Bill!
