Partner Action: Protect Illinois From Secret Police Tactics
In the past six months, masked officers have detained immigrants, students, protestors, and elected officials—often without cause or due process—using tactics that threaten our civil liberties and resemble authoritarian regimes.
State leaders can protect us by passing laws like California’s No Secret Police Act to ban masks and require visible ID for all law enforcement, strengthen sanctuary protections by blocking data sharing with federal agencies, safeguard campuses with protocols and legal support for immigrants, and more.
As residents of a Democratic-led state and city, now is the time to pressure your officials to follow California’s lead and stop Trump’s authoritarian crackdown.

Partner Action: One Million Rising Training Series
MAGA is attacking our democracy—ripping away health care, expanding authoritarian power, and ignoring the rule of law. But we don’t have to wait until it’s too late. We can stop this—by organizing together and refusing to cooperate with authoritarian power.
Indivisible is launching One Million Rising, a national training series to equip one million people with the tools of non-cooperation, community organizing, and campaign strategy.
You’ll learn the strategy of non-cooperation, the basics of community organizing, and how to design campaigns that win—then put it into action by hosting your own resistance gatherings.
The first session is Wednesday, July 16, followed by sessions on July 30 and August 13. Join all three to get the full experience and be ready to lead.
👉 Sign up now and step up to lead in this critical moment.

ICA Action: Show Up Chicago with State Senator Graciela Guzman
What should you do if immigration agents show up in your neighborhood or workplace? Should you answer their questions? Take a video? Say something useful to people being rounded up? At the July session of Show Up Chicago, we’ll discuss these questions with experts who know the ropes, including State Senator Graciela Guzman, an outspoken champion of immigrants’ rights. Find out what to do (and what not to do) when our neighbors are threatened, and how you can help every day to resist the cruel spectacle being brought to our streets.
Show Up Chicago is a monthly community gathering/panel show/happy hour hosted by the Chicago's most highly evolved saloon and produced by the Blue Beginning chapter of Indivisible Chicago. It’s a great opportunity to mix with like-minded neighbors, hear the latest from political insiders, and talk about what’s broken and how we fix it.
👉 Come to Show Up Chicago on Monday, July 28 at 7 p.m. The Hideout (1354 W Wabansia Ave)
Doors at 6, panel at 7, but come early, stay late, gossip freely, and tip your bartender! Free and open to all, but please RSVP.
