Tuesday, July 15 - Protect Public Media / Good Trouble Event Thursday! / Help GA Voters Update Their Registration

Partner Action: Protect Public Media

Public media is in danger. The Senate will vote on the House-passed Rescissions Act this week, which would eliminate $1.1 billion in already-approved funding for public media. If enacted, it would strip essential services from communities nationwide β€” and could force rural stations off the air entirely.

Changes to the bill are still possible. Now is the time to urge your Senators to remove the proposal targeting public media from the package.

ICA Action: Good Trouble Lives On - John Lewis Day of Action THURSDAY

Our rights are under attack. Our democracy is under siege. We’ve been here before, and we know what to do.

On July 17, we honor the anniversary of the passing of civil rights hero John Lewis, not with ceremonies, but with action. Across the country, we will take to the streets, courthouses, and community spaces to carry forward his fight for justice, voting rights, and dignity for all.

This is more than a protest, it’s a moral reckoning. A continuation of the movement Lewis helped lead, and a new front in the struggle for freedom.

πŸ‘‰ Join us for Good Trouble Lives On: John Lewis Day of Action on Thursday, July 17 at 5:30 p.m. at Daley Plaza.

Partner Action: Help GA Voters Update Their Voter Registration

The GA Secretary of State has announced that he will be cancelling thousands of voter registrations in the coming weeks. These voters need our help to save their voter registrations, so that they can show up to vote and make their voice heard in future elections.

πŸ‘‰ Join these phone banks July 17-31 to help us contact these voters to tell them how to update their registrations and stay on the voter rolls!
