Partner Action: Medicare & Medicaid 60th Anniversary Rally TOMORROW
On July 30th, we’re marking the 60th anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid — two programs that have saved lives and delivered care to millions. But this year, the celebration comes with outrage as cuts will threaten access to care.
Join us for a celebration with Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, Access Living, Citizen Action/Illinois, the Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans, and SEIU HCIIMK.
👉 Come to the event TOMORROW, Wednesday, July 30 at 10 a.m. at Access Living (115 W Chicago Ave).

Partner Action: Investigate Trump's Extortion of Media Companies
In October 2024, Trump personally sued CBS and Paramount for ‘election interference,’ but despite dismissing the lawsuit as meritless, Paramount settled and paid $16 million toward Trump’s presidential library.
Just three weeks later, and shortly after the controversial cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s CBS late-night show, the FCC approved an $8 billion merger between Paramount and Skydance. The timing of the settlement and reports of promises made to Trump by Skydance CEO David Ellison raised questions about possible bribery.
Trump has also received donations to his library from media giants like ABC, Meta, and Twitter/X. His threats to sue news outlets for unfavorable stories threaten press freedom and expose potential corruption and extortion.
👉 Congress must investigate these dealings and Trump’s media influence.

Script: Hello, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to urge [REP/SEN NAME] to support an investigation into the potential corruption occurring between Trump and media companies, specifically the Paramount merger deal. Trump’s legal threats against news sources not only threatens our freedom of the press, but it also paves the way for open bribery.
