Partner Action: Support the Resolution to Block Arms Sales to Israel
After almost two years of destruction, the Israeli government’s policy of starvation as a weapon of war has reached a tipping point. Palestinians — including children and babies — are emaciated, collapsing in the streets and dying from hunger. And more are shot and killed by the Israeli military as they try to receive meager amounts of aid.
The U.S. has fully enabled and partnered in the Israeli government’s atrocities, including sending over $30 billion in weapons since October 2023. Ending U.S. complicity is one of the most important ways we can work to stop this genocide.
New levels of domestic and international pressure are forcing U.S. politicians to speak out. But words are meaningless without action. Senator Bernie Sanders just announced that he will force a vote on legislation to block $676 million in weapons to the Israeli government. Now is the time for Senators to vote to block bombs.

Script: Hello, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I'm calling to urge Senator [NAME] to support Senator Bernie Sanders’ Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to block the sale of weaponry to Israel. The United States cannot continue to fund and supply the Israeli government while it continues its atrocious attacks on Gaza, blocks humanitarian aid, and violates international law.

Indivisible Chicago invites you to a virtual ICE Watch Rapid Response training, conducted by Rey Wences, Senior Director of Deportation Defense at the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR). Event is hosted by the Indivisible Chicago Immigration Working Group.
This ICE Watch training will cover threats and potential impacts on vulnerable communities across the greater Chicagoland area and beyond, and will teach people how to properly identify ICE and what to do in the case that there is an ICE raid in neighboring communities, and how we as allies can take action in this moment. Topics will include "Know Your Rights" overview, advocacy at the state and city level, and ICE Watch/Rapid Response.
👉 Join the virtual ICE Watch: Rapid Response Training on Wednesday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m.
Partner Action: Indivisible Illinois Phone Banks
Join Indivisible Illinois for a Rockin’ Zoom phone bank to Virginia on Saturday, August 2, from 4-5:30 p.m. Why Virginia? It’s one of the few states electing its governor and state officials in an off-year, making it a key bellwether for 2026. With many laid-off federal workers, Virginia’s vote sends a powerful message to Republicans.
Afterward, on Sunday, August 3, from 4-5:30 p.m., we’ll phone-bank into Illinois’ three reddest districts, urging voters to hold Congress accountable for anti-Medicaid votes that threaten healthcare for millions.
No phone-banking experience needed—training provided! Join us to make an impact and fight for our families.
