Chapter Action: SHOW UP CHICAGO Sept 14: It's Nov or Never

Tired of scrolling social media and growing more worried every day about the coming midterm election? We have the solution for you. Several solutions, in fact, all aimed at making sure you don’t wake up November 4 wishing you’d done more to stop this debacle.

As we’re realizing more and more, the Democratic Party’s approach to voter contact is broken. To fix it, our friends at Swing Left have launched an ambitious effort they call Ground Truth. In its first election cycle it has been a smashing success.

Our guest experts will be Janna Kaplan, deputy director of organizing for Swing Left, and Bill Mengebier, lead Michigan organizer (and a board member) at Indivisible Chicago.

Presented monthly by the Blue Beginning chapter of Indivisible Chicago, Show Up Chicago is a combination community gathering, cocktail hour, and political panel show at Chicago's most highly evolved saloon. It's a great chance to mingle with like-minded neighbors, hear the latest from political insiders, and gossip about the issues we all care about.

👉 Join Show Up Chicago on Monday, September 14, 7 – 8:30pm at The Hideout (1354 W Wabansia Ave).

Community Action: Fighting Technofascism 9/19

Join MediaJustice and Mijente in Chicago on Saturday, September 19th for Fighting Technofascism: Power, Surveillance, and Resistance—a special one-day power-building convening. Nationwide organizers will gather to assess the political terrain ahead of the midterms and shape organizing strategies against the Tech Oligarchy's attempts to expand power and control.

Keynote speakers Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor, co-authors of End Times Fascism, will anchor the event. Additional featured speakers include author Gil Durán (Nerd Reich), Dr. Safiya U. Noble (UCLA Center on Resilience and Digital Justice), U.S. Rep. Delia Ramirez (IL-3), and Argentine Federal Congresswoman Caren Tepp.

Connect with hundreds of grassroots organizers confronting surveillance, data centers, tech-enabled genocide, and deportations.

👉 Register for the event on Saturay, September 19. Tickets start at $100. Financial assistance is available—please request as soon as possible.
