What did YOU do in 2026?
Read on to find an answer you'll be proud of
The woman on the left wants her grandchildren to know: She did not stay silent.
What do YOU want future generations to know?
How about this: Of course we voted. Of course we marched. But we couldn’t stop there. We knocked the doors, made the calls, talked to our neighbors—we did the work to elect leaders who'd defend our democracy and fight for working people.
Since 2025, more than half a million of us have shown up in Chicago for No Kings and stood up for democracy. We’re showing future generations that when our rights and freedoms are threatened, we don’t hope for the best. We rise up and fight back.
Now we have just three weeks to turn the energy of No Kings into a massive blue wave. Show up for No Kings: Vote Early on October 17. Cast your ballot. And then join us to get out the vote in Wisconsin and Michigan. Bring your family and friends, and let’s show Trump and his enablers that there's power behind the words on our protest signs. We didn’t just vote. We didn’t just march. We did the work and finished the job.
You have the power to reclaim our country. Here’s how:
No Kings: Vote Early
Day of Action
The next step in Indivisible's No Kings campaign is a nationwide day of action focused on early voting, which Indivisible recommends as an important defense against MAGA plots to rig the election. It's this Saturday, October 17, and a number of local chapters have events planned, from visibility actions in Edgewater to a family friendly "chalk the walk" event in Horner Park to a democracy fair in Arlington Heights. Check here for a list of all the Indivisible Chicago Alliance chapter events around Chicagoland.
Wisconsin
Canvassing: There’s no better way to reach voters than at their doors, face to face. We’re focused on Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District, where Mitchell Berman, a progressive Democrat and ER nurse, has a good shot at unseating a Republican incumbent backed by Trump. We’ll also be working to elect a Democratic governor—David Crowley, who is opposing another Trump lapdog, Tom Tiffany. Never canvassed before? No worries, we'll show you how, give you a ride, and stand by you every step of the way. Shifts are available every Saturday through election day. Sign up here.
Phone Banking: Join our weekly Wisconsin Wednesdays Phone Bank now through Election Day. First timers welcome! We provide training and all the support you need. Learn more and sign up here.
You can also make calls on Tuesdays for Rebecca Cooke, who is running to flip a red seat in WI-03, and make Wisconsin voter registration calls with Rust Belt Rising on various days.
Michigan
Canvassing: There’s more to Michigan than Abdul El-Sayed's super-high-profile Senate race. We're also working to flip the 4th Congressional District and to support Jocelyn Benson for governor. Join us knocking doors in Southwest Michigan. We’ll be traveling up every weekend and several weekdays between now and November 3.
Phone banking: Join the Michigan Monday Phone Bank to contact Michigan voters where Democratic candidates need the most help. Never phone banked before? Now's the time! Our phone banks are run with rookies in mind. Sign up here.
You can also join a Thursday phone bank for Sean McCann, who's running to unseat the Trumped-up incumbent Bill Huizenga in MI-04, and your help is needed to make Michigan voter registration calls with Rust Belt Rising on various days.
Voter Protection
Sure, Trump is running scared, but there’s nothing more dangerous than a cornered beast. To counter the chaos he hopes to unleash, Democrats are building a voter protection army in Wisconsin and Michigan. They are preparing poll observers, phone bankers, hotline volunteers, ballot-cure workers, and more. All that’s missing is you. Here’s how to join up.
Postcards
The time is now to finish writing and get ready to mail your Postcards to Swing States. We still need volunteers to complete postcards that must be mailed next week to Michigan and Wisconsin voters. Visit our Postcards page to find out where you can pick them up, join a postcard party or drop off your cards to be stamped and mailed. Click here to find out how to help.
Monday: Show Up Chicago
Nothing calms the nerves like gathering with fellow travelers in a friendly bar to talk about hope for a brighter tomorrow. Show Up Chicago is a monthly political panel show at the Hideout Inn. Join us on Monday, October 19, just two weeks before Election Day. Campaign consultant Pete Giangreco and WCPT host Edwin Eisendrath will gaze into their crystal balls, read the tea leaves, and pull back the curtain on November 3. Did we mention the friendly bar? RSVP here
