Join Indivisible Evanston for a postcard writing party on Wednesday, March 15rom 5 pm to 7 pm at The Wine Goddess (702 Main Street, Evanston) to write postcards to Wisconsin voters for the critical April 4th Supreme Court election.
Bring the cards you have already picked up to finish or we’ll provide the postcards and everything you’ll need to get started. We’ll be serving finger food (popcorn and a lovely charcuterie and cheese platter) for easy munching while you’re writing. You bring your own stamps or a donation toward stamps. Action 2: Speak Out on Family Detention
We are outraged by reports that President Biden is considering reviving the inhumane practice of imprisoning migrant families in detention facilities in order to deter them from seeking safety at the U.S. border. This is the same practice that he condemned and shut down when he took office just two years ago.
We must urgently and resoundingly condemn this proposal. Please join our call and send an email to President Biden to abandon all plans to imprison families in jail-like detention facilities.
