Blue Thursday, hosted by Indivisible Chicago and its Hideout-based chapter Blue Beginning, is a monthly happy hour for pols, pundits and progressives. The next session is on Thursday, September 19. Bar opens at 5:30, program goes 6-7. Free and open to all, but please RSVP here.
State of the Race: Where will the election be on September 19? (That'll be about a week after the big debate, if it happens, and just one day before early voting begins in Minnesota and Virginia.) Wherever it stands, we'll scrutinize it with two of our favorite pundits: Gregory Royal Pratt is the Tribune investigative reporter who recently published The City Is Up for Grabs, a behind-the-scenes look at the tumultuous single term of Mayor Lori Lightfoot. Brandon Pope is the host of WCIU/Block Club Chicago's On the Block, a regular on WGN's Mincing Rascals podcast, and about a dozen other things, including Chicago's most prolific tweeter. Action 2: Michigan Canvassing 9/22
Come and join Indivisible Chicago knocking doors in the critical swing state of Michigan as we work to maintain the Midwest Blue Wall and defeat Trump.
We'll make the 90-minute drive from Chicago to where we’re headed in Michigan. We’ll have a pre-canvass briefing once we get there, then split off into pairs to knock doors and find the voters that are going to help us deliver a win in November.
