Parter Action: Stop DHS’s SAVE Overhaul

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has quietly transformed its Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) system into a massive, unlawful voter-verification tool that now pulls inaccurate citizenship data from the Social Security Administration (SSA). These changes put millions of Americans’ privacy at risk and could wrongfully purge eligible voters from the rolls.

Because of a class-action lawsuit filed by pro-democracy groups, DHS and SSA must now accept public comments — giving us a crucial opportunity to push back.

You can use your comment to emphasize:
– Americans never consented to SSA data being repurposed for voter checks.
– Consolidating sensitive data across agencies increases privacy and security risks.
– These changes could wrongly purge lawfully registered voters, especially naturalized citizens, due to unreliable data.

Make your voice heard and protect our privacy and our freedom to vote — submit your public comments TODAY:

Partner Action: Protect Trans Lives in Illinois

Last week, communities across Illinois honored the transgender lives lost to violence and hate — a solemn reminder of the dangers many trans people still face. It’s also a call to action: our state must continue to protect and uplift transgender residents, especially as anti-trans policies spread nationwide.

Illinois has been a leader in LGBTQ+ rights, but that leadership depends on all of us speaking up and reminding lawmakers that protecting trans people is essential every single day, and that their constituents expect Illinois to remain a beacon of protection, inclusion, and respect. Together, we honor those we’ve lost by fighting for the living.

👉
Contact your state legislators and urge them to commit to safeguarding the rights, safety, and dignity of trans people in Illinois.

ICA Action: Indivisible Lincoln Square Meet & Greet

Indivisible Lincoln Square is hosting their December meet-and-greet,  focused on how we can work together to weaken the societal “pillars” that help sustain Trump’s power — from business and labor to faith, education, and civil service. You’ll hear a short presentation and then connect with others to identify where we can make the biggest impact.

The event also includes a holiday toy drive for children in Humboldt Park, a community targeted by ICE. Bring a new, unwrapped toy (ages up to 18). New members are welcome — bring friends!

👉 Join the meet-and-greet on Tuesday, December 2 from 7–9 p.m. at Oakwood 83 (1959 W Montrose Ave).
