Monday, December 1 - Stop Indiana's Mid-Decade Gerrymander / Gingerbread Guild for Good Holiday Event / Stop the Dismantling of Federal Education Programs
Partner Action: Stop Indiana’s Mid-Decade Gerrymander
Indiana is moving fast to force through a mid-decade gerrymander — a move that could wipe out every Democratic congressional seat in a state that is 40% Democratic. The Indiana State House special session begins December 1, and the Indiana State Senate follows on December 8, with Trump and Gov. Braun applying heavy pressure to get this done.
Democrats in the Indiana State Senate can still stop this — but only if voters flood their legislators with calls right now. That’s where we come in.
Join this critical phone bank to call Democratic voters across Indiana and ask them to contact their representatives and urge a NO vote on redistricting.
If this gerrymander passes, Republicans could take 9 of 9 congressional seats. We can help prevent that.
👉 Join the phone bank Tuesday, December 2 or December 9 at 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Partner Action: Stop the Dismantling of Federal Education Programs
Since the inauguration, the Trump administration has been systematically targeting the Department of Education. While Congress would need to approve eliminating the agency entirely, the administration has quietly dismantled programs, staff, and oversight.
They’ve transferred responsibilities to other agencies, reclassified professional degrees (reducing student loan caps), and weakened teams that oversee special education, civil rights enforcement, and funding for low-income students.
These actions threaten public school funding, support for students with disabilities, civil rights protections, and workforce development programs — putting students, teachers, and families at risk.
👉 Contact your federal representatives and senators to demand they protect education programs and stop these harmful policies.

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from Chicago. I’m calling to express my deep outrage over the administration’s dismantling of the Department of Education and its vital programs and workforce. I ask that [REP NAME] [CHOOSE 1-3 options]: forcefully push back against the proposal to reclassify certain professional degrees and limit student loans to receive them, (and) conduct oversight into the administration’s unconstitutional dismantling of a federal agency without congressional action or approval, (and) refuse to pass any federal funding bill that enables this administration’s drastic cuts to vital education programs and protections for students.
Optional: Share a personal story of how a federal education program has affected you or someone you know.
