Partner Action: Stop MTG’s Felony Ban on Trans Youth Care

Marjorie Taylor Greene has secured a House vote on her extreme national ban on gender-affirming care for trans youth — making medically supported care a Class C felony with up to 10 years in prison. The vote is expected December 17.

The bill uses inflammatory, non-medical language like “bodily mutilation” and “chemical castration,” despite overwhelming medical consensus that gender-affirming care is safe and evidence-based. It would criminalize doctors and put hundreds of thousands of families at risk.

This is the first-ever House floor vote on a national ban. While it likely won’t pass the Senate, it’s a major messaging vote — and swing-district Republicans, plus a few Dems who’ve supported anti-LGBTQ+ riders before, need to hear from constituents.

👉 Call your U.S. House representative and urge a NO vote on December 17. Tell them to reject any attempt to criminalize healthcare or target transgender youth and their families.

Partner Action: Support the Ranked Choice Voting Act

The Ranked Choice Voting Act was just reintroduced in Congress. This bill would bring ranked choice voting (RCV) to all U.S. House and Senate primary and general elections starting in 2030 — giving voters more choice, requiring majority support to win, and reducing political polarization.

RCV has already proven effective in places like Maine, Alaska, and New York City, where voters say they prefer it and where candidates are incentivized to collaborate rather than inflame divisions. It also saves money in states that currently run expensive, low-turnout runoffs.

👉 Email your members of Congress and ask them to support the Ranked Choice Voting Act.
