As we go all out to win back control of Congress in November, one of the country's most important Midterm battlegrounds is right next door in Southwest Michigan. Join us as we hear directly from Michigan candidates on what's at stake:
beat back MAGA gerrymandering and flip a Congressional seat that will be key to winning back the House
retain an open Senate seat that will determine control of the U.S. Senate
win key statewide offices that ensure fair elections in this swing state
Invited speakers include State Rep. Joey Andrews and U.S. Congressional candidate Sean McCann.
Community Action: Town Hall Tour on Trade & Tariffs TODAY
Unfair trade and economic policies, long embraced by both parties, have failed us. We need real alternatives that strengthen unions, fight corporate power, and offer a fair deal to working people.
Join Public Citizen, members of Congress, policy experts, and some of the country’s largest manufacturing unions for a series of town hall conversations focused on building a fair trade agenda for the future.
👉 Join the town hall TODAY at 5:30 p.m. in South Chicago.

Community Action: Fund Public Schools
Representative Gwen Moore (D-WI) will soon introduce the Keep Public Funds in Public Schools Act, legislation that would repeal the federal private school voucher program included in the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act" – a measure that could divert as much as $50 billion in taxpayer funds to K-12 private and religious schools.
Public schools educate about 90% of America’s students and are accountable to families, communities, and taxpayers. Yet, increasing political efforts pushed by right-wing billionaires to redirect public funds to private schools threaten to:
Drain resources from local public schools, leaving fewer dollars for students, teachers, and essential services, which can even result in public schools closing
Undermine academic achievement and non-discrimination protections, as private schools are not held to the same transparency, civil rights, academic quality, fiscal soundness or reporting standards, oversight, and accountability as public schools
Limit access and equity, as private schools are not required to serve all students and draw funding away from public schools that serve all students regardless of their background
The private school voucher program included in OBBBA could cost as much as $50 billion a year, taxpayer dollars that would be far better invested directly in federal formula programs like IDEA and Title I that support our public schools.
