Michigan Monday Phone Bank - September 19, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM (virtual event). We're calling Michigan to protect our majority in the U.S. House, concentrating on Democratic incumbents in "tossup" races. We can't afford to lose a single seat! This is a bottom-up strategy. The voters we turn out for these races will also help Gretchen Whitmer, Jocelyn Benson, and Dana Nessel at the top of the ticket.
Tuesday Phone Bank for Lauren Underwood - September 20, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (virtual event). We backed Lauren Underwood in her first run for Congress, in 2018, and since then she has been making us proud and impressing her constituents. But her district has been redrawn to include many voters who are not familiar with her accomplishments. And the the Rs will be coming after her this fall with all the dark money and name-calling they can muster.
Tuesday night postcard parties at Gideon Wells - September 13 from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM at Gideon Welles (4500 N Lincoln Ave). If you can sign up in advance, it helps us let our GW hosts know how many people to expect but last-minute walk-ins are always welcome. We'll be starting with postcards to voters for the critical IL Supreme Court races before transitioning to some critical Congressional races.
Wisconsin Wednesday Phone Bank - September 21, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (virtual event). We've teamed up with WisDems to re-elect Governor Tony Evers--Wisconsin's last defense against Republican election treachery. Our careful training and extensive background resources attract volunteers from all over the country.
Deep Canvassing in Jefferson Co. Wisconsin- September 23 & September 24. Wisconsin elections tend to be won by less than 1% of votes. We have a good opportunity of flipping a senate seat from the MAGA Ron Johnson to progressive Mandela Barnes. Join us for deep canvassing (deeper conversations with those we canvass). We partner closely with Jefferson Co Dems who are committed to long-term follow-up. We will train you and partner folks with you so you will be confident to do your part in this effort.
