Action 1: Phone Banks TONIGHT & TOMORROW
Tuesday Phone Bank for Lauren Underwood - TONIGHT - September 20, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (virtual event). We backed Lauren Underwood in her first run for Congress, in 2018, and since then she has been making us proud and impressing her constituents. But her district has been redrawn to include many voters who are not familiar with her accomplishments. And the the Rs will be coming after her this fall with all the dark money and name-calling they can muster.
Wisconsin Wednesday Phone Bank - TOMORROW - September 21, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (virtual event). We've teamed up with WisDems to re-elect Governor Tony Evers--Wisconsin's last defense against Republican election treachery. Our careful training and extensive background resources attract volunteers from all over the country.
Action 2: TONIGHT - Postcard Party
We're back at Gideon Welles every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00pm, writing postcards to get our voters to the polls in November. We'll be starting with postcards to voters for the critical IL Supreme Court races before transitioning to some critical Congressional races.
If you can sign up in advance, it helps us let our GW hosts know how many people to expect but last-minute walk-ins are always welcome. Donations are welcome, either monetary or in the form of postcard stamps. We look forward to seeing you there!
Action 3: TOMORROW - Truth Brigade Illinois
Join us for a discussion of the reach of Facebook, how to amplify positve and truthful messages and learning to really listen for understanding. Join the virtual event TOMORROW, Wednesday, Seeptember 20 at 7:30 p.m.
