Thursday, April 6 - Blue Beginning Political Happy Hour (4/12)
Action You Can Take Today
Blue Beginning Political Happy Hour on Thursday, April 12 from 5-7 p.m. at The Hideout (1354 W Wabansia Ave)
Blue Beginning Political Happy Hour (4/12)
We knocked doors, made calls, sent postcards and texts, flooded social media, and talked to friends and family till we were hoarse. Each of us contributed in our own ways and, together, Indivisibles rallied the voters of Chicago and Wisconsin to reject the politics of fear and embrace the promise of a new direction.
Thank you to all who joined in this incredible effort.
It’s not an easy road ahead of us. No big city in this country has so fully embraced the people-first path Brandon Johnson proposes. He’ll need our continued support as he pursues our shared goals of affordable housing, better schools, job training, equitable development, a public health approach to safety, and all the planks of this progressive platform. And the new administration will need our voices to keep it accountable. So our work is certainly not finished, but the rewards will be rich and long-lasting for all our communities.
What’s next? Join us at the Hideout next Wednesday, April 12 for the Blue Beginning Political Happy Hour as we discuss the new administration with progressive alders Matt Martin and Jeanette Taylor. Share the event on Facebook.
While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
