Canvass and Friendbank in Support of the Pretrial Fairness Act

On July 18th, the IL Supreme Court ruled in favor of ending money bond with the Pretrial Fairness Act. This historic transformation of our pretrial legal system will reduce pretrial jailing and ensure that people will not be incarcerated simply because they cannot afford a monetary bond. We need your help defending it against attacks from law enforcement and ensure our communities are informed on their rights.  

Join the Chicago Community Bond Fund community canvassing team to spread awareness of the Pretrial Fairness Act! Each canvass will include a brief training session to help you feel comfortable and confident while out in the community.

Additionally, we will be offering online friendbanking events so we can map out our networks and mobilize our communities into action.
