Action 1: Canvass for BCH and Progressive Candidates
As we gear up for the pivotal vote on Bring Chicago Home on March 19, it’s crucial to celebrate the collective efforts of leaders like Graciela Guzmán, Clayton Harris, and Mariyana Spyropoulos. Their unparalleled commitment to justice, equity, and community welfare is the driving force behind our campaign, embodying the transformative change we envision for Chicago. By advocating for taxing the wealthy to fund affordable housing, we’re not just fighting for a policy change; we’re pushing for a societal shift towards inclusivity and fairness.
Graciela Guzmán, a native Chicagoan, has dedicated her career to community organizing and healthcare expansion! Her grassroots campaign contrasts sharply with her wealthy establishment opponents. Every day, she's knocking on doors in the 20th Senate District, highlighting her deep understanding of the community’s needs.
Clayton Harris brings a real-world criminal justice experience from his time as an Assistant State's Attorney, focusing on criminal justice reform, addressing mass incarceration, and enhancing public safety while ensuring justice for all.
Mariyana Spyropoulos, with her deep roots in the city and a career dedicated to public service and environmental sustainability, champions green infrastructure and waterway improvements. Her dedication to environmental issues underscores the importance of sustainable development in addressing housing and homelessness.

Action 2: Volunteer as a WI Poll Observer
Poll observers are the eyes and ears for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s Voter Protection Team inside polling locations across the state, and are the last line of defense against instances of voter suppression. Poll observers are the first to report any issues that arise (like long lines, machine problems, or voters being turned away unnecessarily), and will act as a resource for voters who may need assistance. You do NOT need any previous experience or legal background to be a poll observer, and you do not need to be a Wisconsin resident!
Poll Observer Training will be required. As election law in Wisconsin changes, it is important that we are able to get returning poll observers up to speed on changes to the law and train all of our new volunteers! Training is held on Zoom and lasts 90 minutes. There are multiple training options held between March 12th-18th, and you only need to attend once.
Being a poll observer is a big commitment, and our staff will be there to support you through the whole process! Please only fill out this official signup form if you are ready to commit to being a poll observer on April 2nd. Once you fill out this form, our team is counting on you to be there helping us protect voters. Save the date for Tuesday April 2nd on your calendar now!
