Action 1: Continue the Fight on January 25
With Trump’s inauguration today, the attacks on our sanctuary city status are only the beginning. We need to be ready for a slew of challenges, and we can’t do this without YOU.
That’s why you’re invited to our Continue the Fight event on Saturday, January 25. We’ll discuss how we continue the fight, both locally on the ground and nationally, and how you can fit into that plan.
Join Indivisible Chicago and other grassroots groups working to defend those directly impacted by the MAGA agenda to plan for what’s ahead.

Action 2: Nix the Noms
It’s time to nix Trump’s most dangerous nominees. Trump’s nominees aren’t just bad picks—they’re a direct threat to democracy and public safety. These extremists are poised to seize control of critical government agencies, weaponize federal power, and push a radical agenda that will harm everyday Americans. We must fight back.
The Senate is preparing to hold confirmation hearings — our first and best chance to stop these dangerous picks. These hearings allow Senators to scrutinize each nominee’s qualifications, records, and fitness for the roles they’ve been tapped to lead. After the hearings, committees will vote on whether to advance the nominees to a full Senate vote.
If approved, these individuals will assume control of federal agencies that touch every aspect of our lives—agencies responsible for protecting our health, securing our nation, and ensuring justice. This is our critical moment to act. We must pressure Senators to reject these nominees and prevent them from using the levers of government to further Trump’s extremist agenda. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and the time to fight is now.
