ICA Action: Get Ready for No Kings Rally Saturday 6/14

Thanks to us, Donald Trump will learn he’s not all-powerful. While Trump celebrates his birthday on June 14 with a taxpayer-funded military parade, people across America will flood the streets to send a clear message: NO KINGS!

This day of action opposes Trump’s increasing authoritarianism, corruption, and cruelty. We’re showing the world what real democracy looks like. In Chicago, Indivisible Chicago and partner groups will host a rally and march in Daley Plaza at 12:00 pm, followed by a march through downtown. Join us with family, friends, signs, and voices—together, we stand against repression and for democracy.

📣 Help us get the word out about the No Kings rally by putting up these posters in your neighborhood!

👉 Don't forget to rally and march with us on Saturday, June 14th, from 12:00 - 2:00pm at Daley Plaza. And please share the event on social media!

Partner Action: Know Your Rights Training TOMORROW: Get Ready for June 14

Before hitting the streets, join the Know Your Rights training on June 10th at 6 PM CT. On June 14th, while President Trump’s military parade unfolds, communities nationwide will mobilize for the No Kings day of action—standing against attacks on our rights. Building on the energy of past mobilizations, we’ll send a clear message: we reject authoritarianism and will fight to protect our freedoms.

The training will prepare you to participate safely and confidently, whether marching, rallying, or supporting from the sidelines. Learn how to protect yourself, your community, and stand up for your rights.

👉 RSVP now and get ready to make your voice heard!

Partner Action: Protect Funding for Alternative Transportation Infrastructure

The U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT) has ordered an agency-wide review of grants to ensure projects align with the Trump administration’s attacks on diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and the “Green New Deal.” The review also targets projects prioritizing bicycle infrastructure, including the important Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), a key source of funding for local safety initiatives.

Federal funding for bike lanes is crucial, as bike infrastructure reduces crashes and improves safety—adding bike lanes can cut bicycle and vehicle crashes by up to 53%.

👉 Call your representatives to support continued TAP funding and the bipartisan Sarah Debbink Langenkamp Act (H.R. 2011/S. 944) to expand local traffic safety investments.

  • Contact Senator Durbin at 312-353-4952 or at other numbers listed here

  • Contact Senator Duckworth at 312-886-3506 or at other numbers listed here

Script: Hello, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to urge [REP/SEN NAME] to support funding for the Transportation Alternatives Program, safe streets and roads projects, and active transportation projects like bicycle infrastructure. I also ask that [Rep/Sen Name] support [if calling House: H.R. 2011 /if calling Senate: S. 944] the bipartisan Sarah Debbink Langenkamp Act to expand federal funding opportunities for local traffic safety initiatives. We all benefit from safer roads.
